Dark Light – AR Game Pitch

Concept Art

In 2018 I was asked to provide some designs for an Augmented Reality game pitch titled Dark Light created by the studio FloatLand. The game concept revolved around working with a scientist who has been lost in an alternate dimension, who using a series of portals to other universes attempts to communicate and send messages to the user. Alien artifacts are sent back and forth via augmented portals that the players will discover around the real world, while encouraging multiplayer interactions with ARcore across multiple devices. I was responsible for coming up with some early designs around the artifacts, and the long lost scientist who has been warped by this alternate dimension.

The initial demo premiered at the Indiecade TogethAR in collaboration with Google ARcore, and went on to win the top prize of the event.
